Oblique MRI of the Foot         (Return to List of Available Self-Test Images - Normal Structure)

This is a contiguous series of oblique MRI slices of the foot of a 40y old woman. The plane of all the sections is half way between axial and sagittal, as shown by the insert in the first picture. The first section is at the upper end of the ankle joint, and subsequent sections are progressively more toward the sole of the foot. You can look at the video frame by frame and try to identify the labelled structures. The answers will be revealed when you click on the appropriately labelled drop-down arrows below the image.
