Coronal MRI and MRA of the Chest         (Return to List of Available Self-Test Images - Normal Structure)

This is a contiguous series of coronal T1-weighted MRI and coronal MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) images of the chest in a 14y old girl. The first image is the most anterior of those shown, and the series progresses posteriorly. The MRA images are not precisely through the same section as the MRI images, but they are pretty close. You can look at the video frame by frame and try to identify the lettered structures to which lines are drawn. In some instances you may find it easier to identify the structure by looking for it on the corresponding MRA image. The answers will be revealed when you click on the appropriately labelled drop-down arrows below the image.
