Axial MRI of the Distal Thigh         (Return to List of Available Self-Test Images - Normal Structure)

This is a contiguous series of axial MRI slices of the distal thigh in a 15y old boy. The first section is near the lower limit of the gluteus maximus insertion, and subsequent sections are progressively more distal. You can look at the video frame by frame and try to identify the labelled structures. The answers will be revealed when you click on the appropriately labelled drop-down arrows below the image.
